Can you return to your physical body after traveling astrally? This is a million rupee question on everyone’s mind, and you certainly cannot quantify it!
Myth 7: It is possible that you may not be able to get back into your physical body.

Truth: Every night when we sleep, our Astral body gets out of our physical body. We are just not conscious that this is happening. During Astral Travel, we are aware of the fact that we're in another dimension.
This is quite a pervasive myth, because the idea of one’s body and soul being permanently separated is the stuff of nightmares. The myth probably stems from the fact that occasionally a little difficulty is experienced in returning to the body. This does really happen from time to time, but it is nothing to get concerned about.
Should you find yourself having re-entry problems during Astral Projection, there is no reason to panic! Just enjoy the extra time that you have to travel and explore, and you will certainly return to your body in good time.
The other side of the same myth involves something happening to the physical body while the etheric body is off travelling. Again, this idea is quite a scary one, and it is no wonder that it has a hold on popular imagination. But this also is a fear that I believe is pretty much unfounded.
When we are Astral Traveling and something arises that could be a threat, the ethereal body will return instantly to the physical body. This is something I have experienced a couple of times. You should not regard your body as being any more defenceless when you are having an Out-of-Body-Experience than when you are sleeping!
Furthermore, when Astral Projection takes place, the physical body and the ethereal body are never truly separated.
  
We are able to easily get back into the body, after every night's sleep. Similarly, we can also do the same after Astral Projection. The surprising fact is that it is difficult to stay out of the body. Getting back into your body is instant and automatic. Your Astral Body is connected to your physical body by a luminous Silver Cord, which ensures that you can always get back in.

Myth 2: Astral Projection is always spontaneous. You cannot learn it. Truth: My own experience has been that, for me, it has always happened to me. I get taken on an astral journey. I do not wilfully decide to have an out-of-body experience (OBE) . And more often than not, most experiences leave me somewhat tired and not to perky when I wake up. While some of my astral travel experiences have been indescribably beautiful, I have never tried to use any method to project myself into the astral plane. You can learn to Astral Project at will. There are countless techniques that teach you how to have an OBE. Since every individual is different, no particular technique is ideal for everybody. You have to find out which method is best for you. Just like anything good in life, you have to practice and get good at it.
